The kit was designed to try to use low cost items to make the concept more accessible.  The main rotor assembly is 3mm bamboo skewers and 3mm single wall corrugated card.  This means students can iterate quickly with standard tools but also means you can use those boxes that everything seem to arrive in.
 
The two packs on offer here are full kits which include all materials (including the skewers and card) or a rotor material supply option which gives you the opportunity to source the components yourself or to recycle.
 
Mechanical Components included in all kits:
For each turbine the kit includes the materials necessary for:
3 x PCBs (2x body PCB and 1 x Rotor PCB)
1 x 6v 2400rpm motor
2 x 25mm stainless steel washers
1 x set of gears
 M4 x 500mm zinc coated steel studding 
 4mm x 35mm brass rod for compound gear shaft (35mm per student)
2 x m4 flange bearings for main drive shaft
1x 3mm id x18mm spacers
1 x 4mm x 20mm spacers.
4 x m4 nyloc nuts
2 x m2.5 machine screws and nuts
 
If the rotor materials option is selected the kits will also include materials to produce:
 
7x blades (approx A4 piece of 3mm corrugated card per kit)
7 x bamboo skewers.
